What are the differences between the Classic Kettle and the Classic Kettle Libre?
The volume of the Classic Kettle is 1 liter, while the volume of the Classic Kettle Libre is 0.8 liters. The color options are also different. For details, please see each product page. (The Classic Kettle is out of production.)
The switch turns off before the water is done boiling.
If too little water is being boiled, the empty simmer prevention function may operate to automatically turn the power off.
It does not operate.
Check that the power cord is plugged in. Additionally, check that the main body is firmly attached to the power plate.
The inside of the kettle is discolored. / There are white things floating in the boiled water.
Water residue (such as chlorinated lime) can be removed through maintenance (chlorinated lime removal) using commercial pot detergent or citric acid. After doing this, wash the pot with clean water. Furthermore, be careful with using mineral water, as this may lead to more water residue buildup.
Boiling water overflows from the spout.
Water may have been added beyond the MAX line on the inside of the kettle. Overflowing boiling water may cause short-circuiting, so use the product following the appropriate amount of water.
The kettle rattles around during heating.
The water inside is boiling, so the kettle may shake somewhat. There is no issue if it is being used with the appropriate amount of water.
Cleaning the Classic Kettle Libre
■Kettle interior
Clean with a sponge and dish detergent diluted in cold or warm water. After rinsing with pure water, let dry completely.
*For water residue buildup (chlorinated lime, etc.), clean with a commercial pot detergent or citric acid. After this process, wash the pot with clean water.
■Kettle exterior
Soak a soft cloth in dish detergent diluted in cold or warm water, wring it well, and wipe. Afterward, completely wipe away the detergent with a dry cloth.
■Power plate
Remove the power cord from the outlet. Soak a soft cloth in dish detergent diluted in cold or warm water, wring it well, and wipe. Afterward, completely wipe away the detergent with a dry cloth. Do not let the connection point in the center (the metal parts) get wet.
